Music & Lyrics by Toby Soriero
I’m gonna stand on that mountain
And look down far below
Gonna stand on that mountain
And look down far, far below
But when God comes a callin’
Gonna be my time to go
God took that water
That’s why Jesus came
God took that water
That’s sure why Jesus came
Wish I could do the same
Everybody knows my name
God took that water
Don’t you have a doubt
God took that water
Don’t you have a doubt
Let me hear ya scream and shout
That’s what I’m talkin’ ‘bout
Take me
Jesus
Jesus
Jesus won’t you take me home
I’m dyin’
Here
I’m here dyin’ all alone
Lord won’t ya save me
Save me and take me home
God took that water
Turned it into wine
God took that water
Done turned it into wine
I know when it’s time
I’ll be standin’ in a long, long line
God took that water
Now listen here
God took that water
Now listen up here
Don’t ya shed a tear
Got nothin’ to fear
I’m gonna stand on a mountain
And look down far below
Gonna stand on that mountain
And look down far far below
But when God comes a callin’
Gonna be my time to go
I say when God comes a callin’
It sure be my time to go

My great granddaddy sailed here in the year 1900
He wore a gold pocket watch and was a certified, a certified drunkard
Well, the SS Tartar dropped him in New York City
He went right to work that day quickly gettin’ busy
He worked as a barber before ending up in jail
What for, you ask, I can’t rightly say but he managed, he managed to make bail
He packed his bags and headed west over the Allegheny mountains
Got himself a cart and sold oil by the ounces
He found himself a partner named Akilla, Akilla the knife
That man, Akilla had a pretty, a pretty little wife
One day Akilla fell down the stairs and broke his leg real bad
Then Grandaddy stole that pretty little wife, now ain’t that real sad?
Akilla’s leg healed well enough for him to walk with a limp
He headed east to seek revenge and prove, prove he was no wimp
in the City of Brotherly Love on a dark and crowded street
He found my granddaddy walking with his love oh so sweet
Akilla shouted out as his stiletto flashed real bright
The crowd gathered 'round as he drove it into Granddaddy with all his might
The police came running but there was nothin' they could do
Now I’ve got a shiny gold pocket watch, too

My Baby she look real nice
Ain’t got no complaints
My Baby she look real nice
Ain’t got no complaints
I been nasty and bad
Ya see, I ain’t no saint
My baby sweatin’ in the basement
Fryin’ up some greasy steaks
My baby she be sweatin’ in the basement
Fryin’ up some greasy steaks
Don’t care what’s for dinner
Don’t care what my baby makes
Slipin’
Slidin’
Slipin’, slidin’ and hidin’
Ridin’
Jivin’
Ridin’, jivin’ and connivin’
I ain’t made for a wife
I live a horrible life
Just go away and let me be
My baby she sure likes to bake
But ya see I don’t like cake
My baby she sure likes to bake
But ya see I don’t like cake
She mix it up with a little rum
I say come on girl let’s have some fun
My baby she don’t like to clean
I think it’s simply obscene
My baby she don’t like to clean
I think it’s simply obscene
Ya see I ain’t no city slicker
But I drinks me lots a malt liquor
My baby said she wants to elope
Done shook my head and said nope
My baby said she wants to elope
Done shook my head and said nope
I’d rather live in perpetual sin
And drink me lots of straight dry gin

Gonna find me, a new woman
On a Monday afternoon
By Thursday night
I’ll be singing a new tune
Gonna find me a new woman, on a Monday afternoon
Gonna find me a new woman
Might have to wait, ‘til June
Beggars can’t be choosers
Need to find one real soon
Might have have to wait ‘til June, need to find one real soon
Woman, go on and leave me
Leave me if you must
You’ll be crawlin’
Crawlin’, back with lust
Woman you know you love me
Love me with all your heart
But love’s not a game
It’s not science it’s an art
My old lady gone and left me
Left me for good
Didn’t see it comin’
Never thought she would
Now I’m all alone
Left me high and dry
Won’t ask her to come back
Not even gonna try
Gonna find me a new woman
One , that won’t run
Tell her to, stay put
I got lotsa guns
Gonna find me a new woman
She gonna be the one
Gonna find me a new woman
One that howls at the moon
Ya see, I like to drink all night
And sleep in ‘til noon
Gonna find me a new woman, one that howls at the moon
Woman, go on and leave me
Leave me if you must
You’ll be crawlin’
Crawlin’ back with lust
Woman, you know you love me
Love me with all your heart
But love’s not a game
It’s not science, it’s an art
Gonna find me a new woman
‘fore I go out, my mind
She’ll think she hit the jackpot
But only if she’s blind
Gonna find me a new woman, before, I go out my mind

I don’t like the way you look
The way you dance, and clean or cook
Woman, gonna give you one more chance
G’on now and iron my pants
I got these shackin’ up, shackin’ up, shackin’ up with you blues
Momma said you an old lazy bum
You so fat you must weigh a ton
Tired of how you smell and snore
Can’t take another day, no more
I got these shackin’ up, shackin’ up, shackin’ up with you blues
You gotta wash my clothes so they nice and clean
Even my ratty old blue jeans
You gotta cook me a meal, somethin’ nice and hot
Cook it up good in that big black pot
I got these shackin’ up, shackin’ up, shackin’ up with you blues
You gotta chop some wood, so we can build a fire
Old man, don’t say you tired, you old filthy liar
This here’s my house, roof, floor and doors
Ain’t puttin’ up with you, not puttin’ up no more
I got these shackin’ up, shackin’ up, shackin’ up with you blues
I’ll drive ya to the super mart
I’ll even help ya push the cart
But when it’s time to pay the bill
Don’t look to me you old ugly shill
I got these shackin’ up, shackin’ up, shackin’ up with you blues
I do like I told but the day gonna come
Send you straight to hell with this here gun
Gonna dig me a hole at least six foot deep
Toss your fat ass in lay you down to sleep
I got these shackin’ up, shackin’ up, shackin’ up with you blues

My old man is crazy
He just ain’t right
I say, my old man is crazy
Something just ain’t right
He just can’t help it
All he does is drink and fight
My old man is crazy
All he does is cheat and steal
I say my old man is crazy
All day long he cheats and steals
Lawman gonna catch him
And serve him his last meal
My old man is crazy
Judge man gone and sent him to jail
My old man is crazy
Judge man sent him off to jail
Mamma said good riddance
She sure ain’t gonna pay his bail
My old man was crazy
He buried in an unmarked grave
My old man was crazy
He’s layin’ in an unmarked grave
He lived a life of crime and sin
And couldn’t, just couldn’t behave
My old man was crazy
All he did was misbehave
Music & Lyrics by Toby Soriero
If you’re lookin’ for salvation, you’re gonna have to, have to choose
If you’re lookin’ for salvation, well you’re gonna have to, have to choose
God or money, either way you’re gonna lose
Gonna place me a bet, maybe I roll some dice
Seven or eleven, that’ll be real nice
If you’re lookin’ for salvation, well you’re gonna have to, have to choose
God or money, either way you’re gonna, lose
Gonna place me a bet, gonna pick a pony at the track
Win, place or show, no more livin’ in a shack
If you’re lookin’ for salvation, you’re gonna have to, have to choose
God or money, either way, you’re gonna lose
Gonna place me a bet, watch those shells real good
Gonna find that pea, no one, no one gonna scam me
If you’re lookin’ for salvation, you’re gonna have to, have to choose
God or money, either way, you’re gonna lose
Gonna place me a bet, gonna watch those hounds run
They be running so fast, like a, like a bullet from a gun
If you’re lookin’ for salvation, you’re gonna have to, have to choose
God or money, either way
Either way
Either way, you’re gonna lose
